Welcome to Sector 8 CPF (Community Police Forum)
Sector 8 geographically includes:
Kenmare, Silverfields, Factoria, Silverfields Park, Rangeview and Breaunanda (see map)
The main aim of this site is to facilitate communication within the the Sector 8 community.
Community updates:
Repeater system to improve communications
Sector 8 CPF are currently exploring the feasibility of installing a repeater system to ensure a wider range of communication in the sector.
Overwhelming YES for subscription fees
During a vote at the CPF Community meeting held at Silverfields Primary on the 21st September, more than 95% of the community agreed to a voluntary monthly subscription of R40. These funds will enable the CPF leadership to provide an improved service to the community and to enhance the patrolling system. We have a vision that all residents have 24hr access to security through an effective communication system. Furthermore we plan on installing cameras at strategic hotspots in our sector. Street patrols
You may have seen them patrolling your streets during the past couple of weeks, volunteers from our community keeping your best interests at heart. It is important to note that the patrols will focus on areas where the community have radios. To join this very important service to our sector contact Ulrich Rosenleft.
Radios
Radios are an important part of keeping you and your family safe. It is also important to ensure that our community is kept up to date with movements within our sector.
Radios can be ordered and collected at @tlantic in Carol Street.
Street Signs
Reflective street signs are available to ensure that your house can be located in an emergency. The costs for the signs are as follows: 300x200mm - R40 or 600x400mm - R120.
The street signs can be ordered from our Sector Chairman.
